Bauhaus weekend at the RIBA and Design Museum

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Design Museum will host a weekend of free creative and cultural activities all inspired by the Bauhaus school of art, architecture and design, which celebrates its centenary this year. A tour of the Bauhaus exhibition and a drawing and design workshop at the RIBA on Saturday 5th October will lead on to a talk and model-making workshop at the Design Museum on Sunday 6th October. The weekend is designed for people to develop their creative skills and knowledge over the two days, but participants are welcome to book to attend just one day or book individual activities.

All materials will be provided and beginners are welcome. Booking essential: to book activities for Saturday please contact the RIBA, and to book for Sunday please contact the Design Museum (see separate listing for Sunday 6th October).

Saturday 5th October
11am – 12pm: Tour of Bauhaus exhibition, ‘Beyond Bauhaus’ – Booking essential
12pm – 12.30pm: Refreshment break where teas, coffee and biscuits will be provided – no booking required
12.30pm – 2.30pm: Drawing workshop: Design your our building of the future, inspired by Bauhaus – Booking essential
