This is an online event (held on video platform Zoom)
Joining us to talk about the work they are doing to investigate and improve the age-friendliness of Bristol’s public spaces are:
– Pippa Winship, Academic Researcher in Urban Studies, who has recently completed a research project into the walkability of Bristol and Bath
– Bianca Rossetti, Age-Friendly Project Officer at BAB
We are also delighted to be joined by Chris Booth, Commissioning Officer at Barnsley Council, to speak about the town’s newly-launched ‘Take a Seat’ project. The scheme aims to encourage people to get out and about more by providing suitable stopping places, simultaneously helping to combat the physical deconditioning experience by people as a result of the pandemic
There will be time for an audience Q&A and for participants to contribute their own insights and experiences during a workshop session.
