Join us at our free Chatty Brew event – a social gathering brought to you by Age UK Isle of Wight.
Whether you’re seeking to socialise with peers over a nice cuppa, explore volunteer opportunities, or simply speak with some of our team, Chatty Brews offer a welcoming space for Age UK Isle of Wight clients, volunteers and anyone interested in our activities.
Enjoy an afternoon cuppa and chat. Each event also features a raffle, with the proceeds supporting the event’s operational costs and the Good Neighbour Scheme. The Good Neighbour Scheme supports isolated and lonely older people across the Isle of Wight by matching a network of volunteers to people who need them most.
Dementia/Carers Support:
Our Chatty Brew will also offer a ‘Memory Activity’ table, in which those with memory problems or a dementia diagnosis can enjoy an afternoon with our trained Dementia Care Navigators. This can allow carers to socialise and be part of the event, knowing their loved one is nearby and being supported. Please note, this is not a drop and leave session – we encourage carers to enjoy the event whilst we keep their loved one occupied, we are not able to be responsible for personal care or manual handling.
Attendance is free, with attendees responsible for paying for their own refreshments unless otherwise specified.
