**Crystal Palace Museum look after the very old Water Tower base that remains after it was knocked down so German bombers couldn’t use it to locate themselves in the war. We’ve been gradually removing soil, weeds, roots and branches and now we’re doing to the nitty gritty bit of excavating the old pipework.**
It’s satisfying stuff in an amazing place and will eventually mean that the public can see inside regularly and find out its history.
