October is apple season; preparations for the annual Cider Making Festival, La Faîs’sie d’Cidre, are in full swing.
To celebrate Silver Sunday join Jersey Heritage in the orchard of Hamptonne Country Life museum, to learn more about what it takes to create the perfect glass of cider, from apple varieties to apple picking, learning about the process from experts to tasting the fruits of our labour from last year.
Meet Vincent Obbard Seigneur de Samarès Manor in the orchard for a walk and talk on Hamptonne apple varieties – we’d be delighted if you’d like to join in with the apple picking too, followed by cider tasting and a talk on the cider making process with cider maker Noel Le Fondre.
The café will be open but do feel free to bring a picnic to enjoy in the orchard.
