Looe Memories

Looe’s Silver Sunday free event is from 10.30am – 12.30pm and co-hosted by Looe Museum and Looe Harbour Heritage Centre as part of this national day of events. The Heritage Centre’s Coffee shop will also be open for tea, coffee and refreshments from 10am to 1pm.

Our Silver Sunday event is full of heritage and interactive elements for all to enjoy:

10-30am – 11.15am: An illustrated and light- hearted Talk given by Vicki Baldwin about Looe’s history, seen through her collection of archive postcards of Looe.

11.15am – 12 noon:
Enjoy a cup of tea whilst we set up a rolling slideshow of the Museum’s Raddy collection photos – which will be projected onto our big screen.
Our volunteers will circulate collecting memories from those who wish to take part by video and voice recordings. We are hoping to capture stories of * Childhood in Looe* and * Changes in Buildings along the Quayside * and we will also be talking about the Moor to Sea project.

12noon – 12.30pm: A sing song led by Petra Stephenson. Song sheets will be provided!
