On Sunday 4th October 2020, join us for a free online one-hour Silver Swans® adult ballet class, suitable for absolute beginners.
Silver Swans® is an initiative of the Royal Academy of Dance. Following research into dance practice for older learners, the gentle Silver Swans® classes are specially designed for the over 55s to help improve mobility, posture, co-ordination and energy.
We are excited that for the first time, our friendly and inclusive Silver Sunday event will be held online, meaning that anyone from across the UK (or the world!) can join in this event.
The classes are open to anyone (male or female) – no previous dance experience necessary.
The online class is hosted using Zoom. After the hour-long class, all participants will be invited to have a chat if they wish – in small groups – with our other Silver Sunday Silver Swans® attendees.
This event is taught by Silver Swans® Licensee, Johanna Hadley from the Janet Lomas School of Dancing.
SILVER SWANS® BALLET CLASSES at the Janet Lomas School of Dancing in Bury – featured on BBC Two’s ‘Darcey Bussell: Dancing to Happiness’, BBC North West Tonight, BBC Radio Manchester Breakfast and Drivetime shows, That’s Manchester TV and in The Times, Daily Express, Radio Times and local press.
