Silver Saturday at Ilfracombe Museum

Join us for a fun day exploring the history of Ilfracombe at Ilfracombe museum and beyond! 10am -12pm Join in with our local history group, the self named ‘Codgers’, as they explore photographs of Ilfracombe’s past, perhaps you’ll spot a member of your family, your old school, workplace or home? Come and have a chat with others who remember the Ilfracombe of days gone by. Find out about our oral histories project with Nick or take a guided tour of the museum with Stephen at 11am or 2:30pm.
Kelvin will also be conducting a Historic walking tour of the High Street leaving from the front of the museum at 2pm, the walk will reach the High Street via Church Street which is a more gradual incline than some of the roads leading to the High Street! The walk will go ahead whatever the weather so dress accordingly!
Free entry for over 60s, adults £5, concessions £4, carers are free as are accompanied children under 16. High Street walking tour costs £2 each, no booking required, just turn up and pay on the day! Ramped access to the museum which is then all on one level, we do not have a wheelchair accessible toilet, however, there is one at the Landmark theatre next door, available when making a purchase in their cafe.
