Manju Shahul-Hameed Foundation for Mental Health is organising FREE Silver Sunday in Croydon for the first time. Silver Sunday is celebrated nationally, first Sunday afternoon in October every year.

The event is being held by the Manju Shahul-Hameed Foundation. MSF is a mental health charity that aims to bring together people from different communities and also help them learn about mental health issues and provide support to those in need through activities like mindfulness and laughter yoga. This event will focus on addressing older people’s isolation and celebrate their contribution to society.
The Zoom session will start with a welcome from Councillor Toni Letts and an opening from the Mayor of Croydon, followed by performances from some of Croydon’s artists. This includes a dance from a younger member of our community as well as a choir service, morris dance from the North Wood society and two sessions of Laughter Yoga from Bronwyn Rich. The event will be closed by Councillor Manju Shahul-Hameed who founded our charity alongside Councillor Toni Letts.
