Every October, Yvonne and her LOW Riders skate group does a set of charity events known as “Skate the Distance” as see here on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/Chyz4aTK9Wa/) and these are [the highlights from last year](https://www.instagram.com/p/CkWNwFEDLm7/).
These events are held outside and as the month of October is essentially Autumn, the dry/wet leaves cover the paths the skaters use.
This final event held at Southwark Park near Surrey Quays Overground station will need people to sweep the parks paths so they are safe to skate.
They would love GoodGym’s help as in the past, they had 2-4 people available to do this and it takes between 1.5 – 2 hours! With more volunteers and brooms, we can ensure this task is done in no time!
**NOTE: Please Yvonne invites you to wear fancy dress or accessories to go along with this spooky theme of Halloween! Also, and more importantly, bring a broom if you live locally as there will be limited equipment**.
Yvonne would be more than happy to supply those who help with access to skateboards so they can participate in the event afterwards.
