The Loop, East Horsley WI and West Horsley WI invite you to attend an afternoon tea to celebrate Silver Sunday on Sunday 1st October, at the East Horsley Village Hall.
Silver Sunday is a national event celebrating older people and their contribution to society.
Initially launched as a campaign to tackle loneliness and isolation, Silver Sunday is now a national day where people of all generations can come together by hosting fun and free activities for older people. It is a day where older people can meet new people, visit new places, try new activities and connect with their local communities and the generations around them. This year Silver Sunday coincides with the United Nations International Day of Older Persons.
So, what better way to celebrate the older people within our communities than with a Vintage Tea Party!
In addition to a delicious spread of cakes, sandwiches and tea there will also be live entertainment.
Free transport to and from the venue can be arranged.
