Walk Canterbury

CT1 City centre discovery walk

My purpose is to provide you with an accessible walk so that all can enjoy the beauty of this city. Secret places, famous places, unassuming places. Most people walk by without a glance. Maybe, just maybe a glance is all it needs for thoughts to stir. Enjoy your walk where Romans, Becket, Chaucer and The Blitz compete to engage you in 2000 years of History.

  • Once you have experienced your Walk Canterbury you will be able to say you have:
  • Heard about the murder of Becket
  • Seen The crooked house
  • Marveled at Christ Church Gate built to commemorate a tragic Tudor prince and his Spanish bride
  • Met Aphra and Kitty

And so much more!

Meeting point: St George’s Clock Tower, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2LE
End point: The Beaney House Museum 18 High St, Canterbury CT1 2RA, UK

Please note the walk doesn’t enter the Cathedral or its precinct
This walk need not cost you a penny, however an optional gratuity would be very welcome.
