Yorkshire Marathon organisers asked if we could set up and man a drinks station again this year.
This is a highlight of the running season so come along and get involved! It’s a great location to not only hydrate the runners, but also to cheer along and support all the participants, especially fellow GoodGym members! You’ll still have time after volunteering to get to the finish area and encourage the runners along the last stretch and congratulate them at the end!
We’re doing a longer stint this year so we’re splitting it in half. Choose which half you fancy, either 9:15am-1pm or 1pm-4:15pm.
The task is to set up foldable tables, take water bottles out from the crates and put on top of the tables (as on the task photo from last year) for runners to grab from, keep the station throughout the event, then fold the tables back and tidy up at the end.
Location of the drinks station is to be confirmed (What3Words link will be provided nearer the time) but it’s somewhere around Murton Way. Ignore the address below for now, it won’t let me change it.
