On Sunday 3rd October 2021, join us for a FREE online one-hour Silver Swans® adult ballet class, suitable for absolute beginners.
Silver Swans® is an initiative of the Royal Academy of Dance. Following research into dance practice for older learners, the gentle Silver Swans® classes are specially designed for the over 55s to help improve mobility, posture, co-ordination and energy. Our online Silver Swans® classes are also specially adapted for a smaller home environment by experienced and fully qualified Silver Swans® licensee, Johanna Hadley.
We have hosted Silver Swans® events for Silver Sunday for the last four years and this is our second year of hosting our Silver Sunday event online. By holding our friendly and inclusive Silver Swans class online, this means that you are not limited by location and anyone from across the UK (or the world!) can join in.
The classes are open to anyone (male or female) – no previous dance experience necessary.
The online class is hosted using Zoom. After the hour-long class, all participants can make a cup of tea and join us for an informal chat with all the Silver Sunday Silver Swans® attendees.
“The classes have been easy to follow and achievable at home.”
– Maureen, age 71 – Silver Swan®
